What is the difference between HINCOL Bitumen Primer and ANTICORR?
HINCOL Bitumen Primer (IS 3384) is designed to prepare porous surfaces — concrete and metal decks — for waterproofing membrane installation. Its primary role is to improve adhesion and seal the substrate. HINCOL ANTICORR (IS 9862) is a standalone anti-corrosive protective paint providing waterproof, weatherproof, and corrosion-resistant protection — used directly on iron, steel, timber, concrete, and masonry without a subsequent waterproofing system.
Which BONDCOAT grade should I choose?
HINCOL BONDCOAT grade selection is based on the average 7-day maximum pavement temperature at your project location. C50BP-64 for cooler climates (hills, north-east), C50BP-70 for warm regions (most of peninsular India), and C50BP-76 for hot climate zones (Rajasthan, Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, airports). Does HINCOL ROADSEAL need priming before application?
Yes — for concrete joints. Apply HINCOL Bitumen Primer to concrete joints and allow it to dry before applying HINCOL ROADSEAL. Metal surfaces do not require priming — warm with a gas torch immediately before sealing to promote adhesion.
Is HINCOL BITUCLAIR available in custom colours?
HINCOL BITUCLAIR can be coloured in any shade or hue. Since it is manufactured without asphaltene — the molecule that makes conventional bitumen black — it remains translucent, allowing pigments to produce vibrant, consistent colours. Contact HINCOL for specific colour and mix design requirements for your project.
