Smooth Sailing at Bangalore Airport: How HINCOL Innovative Solution Resolved Rutting Issues at BIAL Runway.

Project: Bangalore International Airport (BIAL)

Customer: L&T (Larson & Toubro Ltd.) 

Problem: The rutting issue was faced by L&T during the construction of the BIAL runway due to local aggregate not having enough water-absorbing capabilities. 

Solution: HINCOL technical team conducted a site survey and collected relevant samples for testing in NABL accredited HINCOL laboratory. After reviewing the test results, HINCOL technical team prepared a sample mix design using lime. The mix design sample was tested for its performance under extreme conditions. A trial patch constructed at the site met the customer’s requirement. 

Overcoming Rutting Challenges: HINCOL PMB 40 HW-70 Solution for L&T’s Hospet-Chitradurga Road Project.

Project: Hospet – Chitradurga Road Project

Customer: L&T (Larson & Toubro Ltd.) 

Problem: Rutting of wearing course within 2 years of construction using VG-40 binder. 

Solution: HINCOL technical team conducted a site survey and collected relevant samples for testing in NABL certified HINCOL laboratory. After reviewing the test results, HINCOL technical team prepared a sample mix design using PMB 40 HW-70. The mix design sample was tested for its performance under extreme conditions. 

Reviving Resurfacing: HINCOL’s PMB 70 V-10 Solution for Eagle Infra’s Jam-Warora BOT Project.

Project: Jam-Warora BOT Project Resurface

Customer: Eagle Infra India Ltd. 

Problem: Eagle Infra faced a severe rutting problem in the wearing course, which was constructed using a VG-40 bitumen binder. 

Solution: HINCOL technical team conducted a site survey and collected relevant samples for testing in NABL certified HINCOL laboratory. After reviewing the test results, HINCOL technical team prepared a sample mix design using PMB 70 V-10. The mixed design sample was tested for its performance under various parameters. 

Sustainable Resurfacing: HINCOL PMB RW4560 Solution for Ahmedabad International Airport.

Project: Ahmedabad International Airport 

Customer: Adani Group 

Problem: Resurfacing of the airport was earlier planned with a Bitumen 60/70 grade, but the customer was looking for a sustainable solution. 

Solution: HINCOL technical team conducted a site survey and collected relevant samples for testing in NABL accredited HINCOL laboratory. Our team Recommended PMB RW4560 as the ideal solution for the runway. The customer did a trial run with HINCOL recommendations, and the results met their expectations.

Optimizing Airport Construction: HINCOL PMB 40 Solution for Goa International Greenfield Airport (MOPA).

Project: Goa International Greenfield Airport (MOPA) 

Customer: GMR Infrastructure 

Background: The wearing course was planned to be constructed using PMB PG70E -10 as per the design. GMR team called HINCOL for an opinion and review. 

Solution: HINCOL technical team recommended PMB 40 as the ideal solution for the airport runway. The Trial stretch was constructed using this PMB 40 grade, and evaluation of mix design was parallelly carried out in HINCOL NABL accredited laboratories, and the result was found to meet the expectations of the customer.
