CSR Projects

Project: Nanhi Kali

Background: HINCOL, in collaboration with K. C. Mahindra Trust, has undertaken a project to support the education of girls in eight states across India, including Gujarat (Bharuch), West Bengal (Darjeeling), Maharashtra (Mumbai), Madhya Pradesh (Ratlam), Uttar Pradesh (Shravasti), Andhra Pradesh (Visakhapatnam), Tamil Nadu (Ramanathapuram), and Punjab (Moga).

HINCOL has contributed INR 11.3 million to support the education of 2000 girls.

Project: Disaster Relief Fund – Providing Relief to Cyclone-Affected Communities in West Bengal and Odisha

Background: HINCOL, driven by our core values of compassion and humility, extended our support to the communities affected by the devastating cyclones (AMPHAN) in West Bengal and (FANI) in Odisha. Through our Project Disaster Relief Fund, we provided monetary assistance to help the affected people rebuild their lives and livelihoods during these challenging times. Our commitment is to make a positive impact during times of crisis and support the communities around us with compassion.

Project: HINCOL Partnership with EKAM Foundation for Pediatric Healthcare – Supporting Children with Congenital Heart Diseases and Cancer

Background: HINCOL has joined hands with EKAM Foundation through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to extend support to children aged 0 to 19 who are grappling with congenital heart diseases and cancer.

Project: HINCOL Collaboration with Artificial Limbs Corporation of India (ALIMCO) – Providing Artificial Limbs and Rehabilitation Aids for Individuals with Disabilities

Background: HINCOL has joined hands with the Artificial Limbs Corporation of India (ALIMCO), a Government of India Undertaking, through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to provide artificial limbs and other rehabilitation aids to individuals with disabilities. Our aim is to support and empower people with disabilities by facilitating their access to high-quality, affordable artificial limbs and other necessary rehabilitation aids, helping them enhance their mobility and quality of life.

Project: Netra Vasant – Supporting Rural Eye Health Program by Sightsavers

Background: HINCOL is proud to support the “Netra Vasant” project, an initiative of the organization Sightsavers. This program focuses on identifying patients with sight problems through eye screening camps and providing cataract surgeries in the Howrah region of West Bengal.

Project: HINCOL Collaboration with Energy Research and Social Advancement Foundation (ERSAF) for Rural Electrification

Background: HINCOL has partnered with ERSAF to provide 350 solar panels for home lighting in remote villages in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar.

Project Funds: The project, with a fund cost of INR 2.5 Million, aims to bring solar power to underserved communities, providing access to clean and sustainable energy.

Project: Empowering Children Through Education – HINCOL’s Partnership with SOS Children’s Villages and Support to Local Schools

Background: HINCOL has taken the initiative to collaborate with SOS Children’s Villages, an NGO, in developing a corporate education sponsorship program for 105 abandoned and orphan children at various locations in India. Additionally, HINCOL has extended support to schools located near its manufacturing units, providing necessary infrastructure like desks, toilets, etc.

Project: Bringing Fresh Water to Sundarbans – HINCOL’s Support for Water Wells through South Sundarban Jankalyan Sangha (SSJS)

Background: HINCOL has contributed to the NGO South Sundarban Jankalyan Sangha (SSJS) to provide 31 freshwater tube wells in the Sundarbans area where water salinity is high. This initiative aims to provide access to safe and clean drinking water to the communities in the Sundarbans region.

Project: Healthcare Accessibility for Underprivileged Communities – HINCOL’s Ambulance Support and Health Check-ups in association with Shroff Foundation Trust at Ramakrishna Hospital, Savli, Gujarat

Background: HINCOL has provided support to Ramakrishna Hospital, Savli, Gujarat, by donating an ambulance in association with Shroff Foundation Trust. Additionally, health check-ups have been arranged for underprivileged groups residing near the vicinity of HINCOL’s Savli unit. This initiative aims to improve healthcare accessibility for underprivileged communities in the area.

Project: Empowering Visually Impaired Students through Science Laboratory Setup at NAB, Mumbai – HINCOL Initiative for Inclusive Education

Background: HINCOL is setting up a science laboratory for visually impaired students at the National Association for the Blind (NAB) in Mumbai. The project, with a cost of INR 2 million, aims to provide visually impaired students with the opportunity to perform science practicals in subjects like physics, chemistry, and biology, enabling them to pursue their education and career aspirations in the field of science.

Health, Safety & Environment protection is one of the fundamental core values of HINCOL. Health, Safety and environment management is fully integrated with the business processes starting from designing the processes, and the selection of plant equipment to operations & maintenance daily. We are committed to maintaining a safe and healthy work environment and ensuring all stakeholders’ well-being.

We prioritize the health and safety of our employees by providing a safe working environment and comprehensive medical insurance coverage, including annual health check-ups for employees and their dependents. We have adopted a proactive approach to prevent occupational accidents, incidents, and illness through regular hazard identification and risk assessment (HIRA) and in-house safety audits, drills, and fire safety training conducted periodically.

We are committed to minimizing our environmental impact and promoting sustainability. We have implemented local community outreach programs in coordination with our corporate community relations efforts to ensure the well-being of the surrounding communities.

We constantly develop products and solutions for the road construction industry that reduce carbon footprint and increase energy efficiency, such as cold-mix, micro-surfacing, slurry sealing, and dust palliatives, significantly contributing to sustainability by reducing greenhouse gas emissions.


We have also shifted to cleaner fuel and installed environmentally friendly DG sets to control air and noise pollution at all our plants. Additionally, we have installed a rooftop solar lighting system with a capacity of 12.25 Kwp and created a green belt cover through tree plantation inside plant premises and nearby areas.

We comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and standards related to HSE and strive to go beyond compliance by implementing best practices. We conduct regular hazard identification, risk assessments, and environmental impact assessments (EIA) with active participation from employees and workers on the shop floor.

We communicate with stakeholders and strive to incorporate their feedback into our decision-making processes. We are committed to continuously improving our HSE performance by setting measurable objectives, monitoring progress, and taking corrective actions as needed.

“Mitigating Risks for Sustainable Success

Risk Management is an integral part of HINCOL business operations, aimed at identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks to ensure the sustainability and success of the company. HINCOL follows a systematic approach to risk management, involving various processes and measures to proactively identify, evaluate, and address potential risks.

HINCOL conducts regular risk assessments across its operations to identify and evaluate potential risks. These assessments include hazard identification and risk assessment (HIRA) exercises, environment impact assessments (EIA), and other relevant assessments to comprehensively evaluate risks to employees, communities, environment, and business continuity.

HINCOL takes appropriate measures to mitigate identified risks through a combination of engineering controls, administrative controls, and personal protective measures. Controls and safeguards are put in place to prevent or minimize the impact of risks on employees, contractors, visitors, communities, and the environment.

HINCOL has established robust emergency preparedness plans to effectively respond to potential emergencies or incidents. These plans include emergency response teams, emergency response drills and training, communication protocols, and coordination with local authorities and emergency services to ensure a prompt and effective response in case of any adverse event.

HINCOL maintains comprehensive insurance coverage to protect against various risks, including property damage, liability, business interruption, and other relevant risks. Insurance coverage is reviewed periodically to ensure adequacy and appropriateness as per the evolving business landscape and risk profile.

HINCOL believes in continuous improvement in risk management practices and regularly reviews and updates its risk management processes, policies, and procedures. Feedback from employees, stakeholders, audits, and external assessments are used to identify areas of improvement and implement necessary changes to enhance the effectiveness of risk management efforts.

HINCOL has a robust whistleblower policy in place that encourages employees, contractors, customers, and other stakeholders to report any concerns, suspicions, or incidents related to potential risks, unethical behaviour, or non-compliance with policies or regulations. HINCOL ensures that whistleblowers are protected from any form of retaliation and that their concerns are investigated and addressed in a timely and appropriate manner.

Empowering Transparency and Accountability at HINCOL

As part of our commitment to ethical conduct and good corporate governance, we have implemented a robust Whistleblower Policy to provide a safe and confidential channel for employees and stakeholders to report concerns or wrongdoing without fear of retaliation.
Our Whistleblower Policy is designed to create a supportive environment that encourages employees and stakeholders to raise concerns about suspected violations of laws, regulations, company policies, or unethical behaviour. We are committed to protecting the confidentiality of whistleblowers and ensuring that all reports are thoroughly investigated, and appropriate actions are taken in a timely and fair manner.

We maintain strict confidentiality of the identity of the whistleblower and the information provided, except where disclosure is required by law or is necessary for the investigation and resolution of the reported concern.

HINCOL strictly prohibits any form of retaliation or adverse action against whistleblowers. We take all necessary measures to protect whistleblowers from any form of retaliation, including but not limited to, harassment, discrimination, demotion, or termination.

We have established multiple reporting channels, including a dedicated helpline and email address, to ensure that whistleblowers can report their concerns easily and anonymously if desired.

All reports received under the Whistleblower Policy are thoroughly investigated by an independent and impartial committee. Appropriate actions are taken to address the reported concerns, which may include disciplinary action, corrective measures, and process improvements.

We conduct regular training and awareness programs to educate employees and stakeholders about the Whistleblower Policy and their rights and responsibilities as whistleblowers.
